OMAHA, N.E.(KELO)- The economy is sending mixed signals.

The Regional Mid-America Manufacturing Index from Creighton University showed a sharp improvement…pushing the index to its highest level in a year.

Creighton Economist, Dr. Ernie Goss, says regional job numbers are improving, but national job numbers are weak.

Overall, the U-S economy lost 92-thousand jobs in the month of February.
