KIMBALL, S.D.(WNAX)- The State of South Dakota sold the MRC rail line just over two years ago to the Ringneck & Western Railroad for thirteen million dollars. They promised improved track and better service.
Todd Yeaton manages the Gavillon Grain terminal on the line near Kimball.
Yeaton says they are now working to line up rail shuttles as harvest begins.
Yeaton says rising fuel prices are added into their freight costs.
The MRC connects shippers with the BNSF mainline in Mitchell.
