WATERTOWN, S.D.(KWAT)- Watertown is taking a deliberate approach to hiring its next city manager.

Three finalists were interviewed by the city council last week, and yesterday, the council met in executive session to further discuss the people that are on that short list.

Mayor Ried Holien.

A job and a big salary that the mayor doesn’t want to be locked into if the candidate doesn’t work out.

The mayor is not releasing the names of the finalists.

Look for an announcement on a hire within the next couple of weeks.
