YANKTON, S.D. (WNAX) – Members of the Appropriations Committee of the South Dakota Legislature got some good news during their three-day meeting in Pierre last week.

Representative Jean Hunhoff of Yankton says updated tax revenue projections were more positive than earlier reports.

Hunhoff says they still don’t have a clear picture of what the online sales taxes are bringing in.

Hunhoff says there were some surprises, too.

The committee met with the major departments to get an early idea of their budget requests.
