YANKTON, S.D.(WNAX)- The Corps of Engineers continues to adjust reservoir levels behind the dams on the Missouri River to prepare for spring runoff.
Mike Swenson, an hydraulic engineer in the Corps office in Omaha, says they are close to their storage targets.
Swenson says the big lakes should be right on their marks by the end of the month.
Swenson says they expect power production from the dams to be slightly below normal this year.
Releases from Gavins Point Dam continue at nineteen thousand cubic feet per second due to ice action on the river downstream.
