US Army Corps of Engineers provide update on potential spring runoff of Missouri River

OMAHA, N.E.(WNAX)- The Corps of Engineers held their spring meetings to update reservoir conditions online this year as the spring runoff season ramps up.

Mike Swenson with the Corps in Omaha says the big reservoirs are very near their spring targets.

Swenson says their forecast shows a below normal runoff year.

Swenson says they have a range of projections for system releases into next year.

The Corps reported that mountain snowpack has peaked at about eighty percent of normal and all plains snow cover has melted.
