SIOUX FALLS, S.D.(KELO)- As President Joe Biden urges lawmakers to pass election reform laws, Republican Senators remain unanimous in their opposition to the proposed legislation.

Senator Mike Rounds says the Republican party needs to put the past behind them and try to focus on upcoming elections.

Rounds says that still to this day, there has not been sufficient evidence to overturn the results.

When asked if January 6th rioters have been improperly imprisoned, Senator Mike Rounds believes that those who have been jailed were in there for a reason.

Senator Mike Rounds, who was inside the capitol during the January 6th riots, isn’t siding with the violent rioters.

Rounds says that the most important task Republicans have ahead of the 2022 and 2024 elections is to get their supporters to the ballot box.
