VERMILLION, S.D.(WNAX)- South Dakota’s universities are feeling the pressure to attract and train more people to expand the workforce.

USD President Sheila Gestring says they are now able to extend areas eligible for instate tuition.

Gestring says having many open jobs helps move students toward professional educational opportunities.

The Board of Regents will also be able to freeze university tuition for another academic year.
