USD officials looking to add new programs at the university

VERMILLION, S.D.(WNAX)- Officials from the University of South Dakota are meeting with legislators this summer, outlining new programs they want to add on and off campus.

USD President Sheila Gestring says one proposal would help students doing off campus internships.

Gestring says they want to expand space for the law school.

Gestring says they saw success with a student centered business consulting service during the pandemic.

All the proposals have a price tag of about thirty-seven million dollars. They will be included in the budget request the Board of Regents submits to the Governor and legislature later this year.
