VERMILLION, S.D. (WNAX) – U.S. Immigration and Customs Enforcement has announced that international students must take in person classes this fall or face possible deportation if their school offers only online learning.
University of South Dakota President Sheila Gestring says they plan to have students on campus next month.
Gestring says they want to keep their international students.
Gestring says they may lose some potential international students due to federal government agency closures.
Gestring says they had about 200 international students during the spring semester.
