USD prepping for COVID for the spring session

VERMILLION, S.D.(WNAX)- Students are back on campuses across the state as the spring semester started this week in the midst of another Covid-19 infection surge.

University of South Dakota President Sheila Gestring says they are offering free testing among their health services.

Gestring says the campus is under a voluntary mask policy.

Gestring says they are slim staffed so keeping their on campus workers healthy is critical.

The USD Covid dashboard shows eight employees and twenty-eight students with active infections.
