VERMILLION, S.D. (WNAX) – Members of the legislatures Joint Appropriations Committee made it clear that they expect more cooperation and information about the transition of the University Center into the Community College for Sioux Falls.

University of South Dakota President Sheila Gestring says timing was part of the problem.

Gestring says they will have legislators on their advisory council.

Gestring says tech schools should not be nervous about the changes.

The Board of Regents decided to move the University Center under USD as a new, separate college.
