USD President talks about funding set aside for “Freedom Scholarships”

VERMILLION, S.D.(WNAX)- The South Dakota legislature this year set aside fifty million dollars as part of the funding for the “Freedom Scholarships.”

University of South Dakota President Sheila Gestring says the program will have far reaching impacts.

Gestring says the scholarships will help students that have limited financial resources.

Gestring says the program will help keep students in state.

The scholarships will be available to students attending all public and private colleges and universities in the state.
