WASHINGTON, D.C.(DRGNews)- It’s the same story for South Dakota’s corn and soybean crops again this week, according to the USDA National Ag Statistics Service update.
USDA meteorologist Brad Rippey says South Dakota’s corn crop is still the worst in the nation.
He says South Dakota’s soybeans aren’t doing much better.
USDA NASS reporters say South Dakota’s winter wheat crop was 33% planted, near the 30% five year average. The state’s sorghum rated 68% poor to fair and harvest was 5% complete, ahead of the 2% five year average. Pasture and range conditions are rated 80% very poor to poor.
