PIERRE, S.D.(KCCR)- Over 100 protesters braved a steady cold rain across the street from the South Dakota State Capitol Monday morning to urge lawmakers to hold a special session to consider a ban on vaccine mandates. U-S Senate candidate Bruce Whalen was one of a handful of speakers to address the gathering.
Scott Hourigan, a chiropractor and Spearfish City Council member shared the story of a Belle Fourche woman impacted by vaccine mandates.
The group met for approximately two hours and planned on attending the special session on redistricting being held at the Capitol.
