SIOUX FALLS, S.D.(KELO)- Drug crimes and crimes of violence get the headlines…but those aren’t the biggest crime problems in Sioux Falls.

Police Chief Jon Thum admits he may sound like a broken record, but says vehicle theft is still one of the city’s major crime issues.

Chief Thum says the problem is being made worse with newer vehicles using key fobs rather than keys, with many people leaving their fobs in their vehicles instead of carrying them with their house key.
