VERMILLION, S.D. (WNAX) – The Vermillion Chamber and Development Corporation recently wrapped up a $2 million fundraising campaign aimed at economic development.

Chamber Executive Director Nate Welch says their first priority is to help existing businesses expand.

Welch says they will also be looking for the next new opportunity.

Welch says they want to make sure any new business will fit into the community.

Other goals of the fund drive included adding more young professionals and expanding the population in Vermillion by at least four percent.
