VERMILLION, S.D.(WNAX)- Finding and hiring teachers and other staff is a full time job for school administrators this time of year.

Vermillion School Superintendent Damon Alvey says they have created a couple of new positions.

Alvey says new programs have also been added which will need people.

Alvey says there is a lot of competition to fill their openings.

Alvey says their starting pay for teachers is just over forty-four thousand dollars a year.
