PIERRE, S.D.(WNAX)- South Dakota voters will have two options in November to expand Medicaid. Both a constitutional amendment and an initiated measure will be on the ballot.
“South Dakotans Decide”, the group backing the amendment held a news conference to outline the urgency of expanding Medicaid.
Spokesman Zach Marcus says those who are covered by their own insurance should be concerned about those that aren’t.
Marcus say many people without insurance coverage have to make difficult and costly decisions.
Marcus says everyone in the state will benefit from Medicaid expansion.
South Dakota is one of twelve states that have not expanded Medicaid.
