YANKTON, S.D. (WNAX) – The budget bill was the final one passed by state legislators last week before they adjourned.
Representative Ryan Cwach of Yankton says the budget passage hinged on two percent increases for state workers, schools and Medicaid providers.
Cwach says they also passed a plan that makes more money available for roads and bridges.
Cwach says Democrats did play an important part in passing the budget.
Legislators are scheduled to meet on March 30 for the final day of the 2020 session.
