WATERTOWN, S.D.(KXLG)- Watertown City Council held a short meeting today at Noon to accept the canvas results of the City Election on June 20, 2023.

Finance Manager Kristen Bobzien announced the winners from Ward B, C, and E as part of the statute. The total votes for the City Council election equaled 1,095.

Councilman Glen Vilhauer had a comment.

Mayor Ried Holien has already got the wheels in motion to consider.

For the Watertown School Board Election, 1,879 voters showed up.

Mayor Holien says it’s something to explore, but issues would still need to be addressed.
