WATERTOWN, S.D.(KXLG)- Because a bid has been received, the City of Watertown may be one step closer to selling the “former Wells Fargo” building the City purchased in the hopes of renovating it into the new City Hall.
KXLG News spoke with Watertown City Manager Amanda Mack to determine the status.
Currently, the bid is considered confidential.
City Manager Mack discusses the options if rejected.
City Manager Mack says the Council can also put it back out to be re-bid if the bid is rejected. The City owns the property, and as City Manager Mack states, it allows the City “the luxury of getting to take our time to make sure we are making the right decision.”
