WATERTOWN, S.D.(AlphaMedia)–Amanda Mack will be Watertown’s first ever city manager.
She was the choice of the Watertown City Council and mayor after interviewing with them Friday afternoon.
Mack, whose husband is from Kranzburg, says the move to Watertown feels right.
Mack verbally accepted the position on Friday, and hopes to start in mid-June.
She currently serves as city manager in Spencer, Iowa. Before that, she was city manager in Canton, and city administrator in Worthing, South Dakota.
Watertown switches to a city manager-led form of local government on July 1st.
