WATERTOWN, S.D.(AlphaMedia)–Covid-19 has crept its way into the South Dakota Capitol.
Six of the state’s 70 House members have tested positive for the virus recently.
Republican Representative Nancy York of Watertown is among them. She got the news in the form of a phone call while driving home from Pierre Thursday.
How she contracted the virus is a mystery.
She’ll have to do her legislative work from home for awhile.
While the House side of the Capitol does not include a mask mandate, there is one on the Senate side, where Lee Schoenbeck of Watertown works out of.
Schoenbeck tested positive for the coronavirus before the session began last month.
