WATERTOWN, S.D. (KWAT) — Last month, the decision makers at Watertown City Hall decided to pull the plug on the use of snowgates.
They’re the piece of equipment that’s attached to snowplows that removes the ridge of snow left behind at the end of driveways during snow removal.
Mayor Sarah Caron says she’s been getting calls from some people who aren’t happy with that decision.
But she says there are also drawbacks to using them.
Watertown has three snowgates in its fleet of Street Department equipment, but they’ll like be shipped somewhere else where they can be used.
