WATERTOWN, S.D.(KXLG)- It was recently announced that Watertown will be the site of a “Watertown Pride Drag Show” on June 29, 2024, at the Foundation Plaza Downtown Park, hosted by Vinny Vidi Vici, the persona of Watertown native Brett Ries.

The event is being presented by the group Watertown Love, an “LGBTQ+ group for youth, adults, and their allies,” which will offer free admission and is open to all ages.

This event is not Watertown’s first drag show when it saw HBO’s TV show “We’re Here” film and perform at the Goss Opera House in July 2021. The event attracted some public opposition but was also a sold-out event, and community members expressed support for it.

Watertown Love also organizes the Pride in the Park annual Summer event.
