Watertown United Way kickoff fundraising campaign “Be the Change”

WATERTOWN, S.D.(KXLG)- Watertown United Way and several community members gathered at Montgomery’s Furniture for a well-attended 2023 – 2024 “Be the Change” Fundraising Campaign Kickoff.

United Way Board President/Watertown Police Department Assistant Chief Ryan Remmers took a moment to recognize the board for their support.

Host and the President of Montgomery’s Furniture Eric Sinclair.

Sinclair talks about their donor promotion that is unique to the Watertown location.

Sinclair praised the Watertown United Way for its fundraising efforts and would put their results up against any of the communities Montgomery’s Furniture is in, and they should be proud.

Board President Remmers introduced new Executive Director Laura Heathcote and campaign chairs the Stuart and Crystal Stein family.

Stuart Stein thanked Heathcote for inviting his family to become campaign chairs and for his passion for involvement.

Stein talks about this year’s theme, “Be the Change.”

Various agencies were set up throughout the store to discuss their missions, and Heathcote discussed an art series on display.
