ABERDEEN, S.D. (KWAT) — Last week’s tornado outbreak in northeast South Dakota included a weak twister just west of Watertown.
National Weather Service forecaster Ryan Vipond says they’ve confirmed the EF-0 tornado near the Watertown Regional Airport last Monday.
The tornado had maximum winds estimated at 70 miles per hour. That same day, tornadoes were confirmed in Day County, north of Webster and Bristol.
The following day, three EF-2 tornadoes hit Sioux Falls, resulting in extensive damage and a few injuries.
