ABERDEEN, S.D. (HubCityRadio.com) – It appears the weather is cooperating for most of the area to allow farmers to get into the fields.

Laura Edwards, State Climatologist, said that some of the area is recovering from a recent two-inch rainfall, but it appears that much needed heat is on the way this week.

Edwards said areas east of Aberdeen are still dealing with water issues, but those farming west of town are busy planting.

Edwards said the area dodged a pair of bullets this spring.
