Wet fall conditions could lead to more spring flooding

KANSAS CITY, Mo. (WNAX) – There is growing concern that wet conditions this fall could lead to more flooding next spring.

Doug Kluck is the Central Region Climate Services Director for the National Weather Service based in Kansas City.

Kluck says the wet trend looks like it will continue.

Kluck says records are being broken at an odd time.

The Climate Prediction Center is warning of the possibility of heavy rain across much of the northern plains from Oct. 4-6.

Kluck was one of the presenters on this month’s North Central Region climate update.
