PIERRE, S.D. (WNAX) – South Dakota wheat growers are wrapping up their winter wheat seeding. South Dakota Wheat Commission Executive Director Reid Christopherson says:
He states it’s been a difficult year for planting and harvesting with the snow and rain that began in the fall of 2018.
Christopherson says once the winter wheat planting is completed the number of acres seeded will be similar to last year.
Christopherson says for those yet to complete their winter wheat planting or other crop harvesting should be safe out there and watch out for each other.
