PIERRE, S.D.(DRGNews)- A storm with some wind gusts exceeding 80mph blew through central South Dakota early Sunday morning.
Ryan Vipond (vye-pond) is a meteorologist with the National Weather Service Office in Aberdeen. He says some places saw wind gusts at 90mph or more.
Vipond says the storm started in the Corson and Dewey County areas, then traveled south and east.
In Stanley County, Vipond says the wind was clocked at more than 100mph.
Vipond says preliminary information shows there was no rotation in the storm, just strong wind.
