ABERDEEN, SD (AberdeenWings.com) – The Aberdeen Wings are pleased to announce that forward and recent NAHL Top Prospect John Sladic has announced his commitment to Miami University of Ohio.
Sladic is a ’98 birth year, 5’9’, 168 lb forward from Novi, MI. He has been with the Wings for two seasons, playing in 108 games including five playoff contests and scoring 93 points (37 goals & 56 assists). John was the 1st selection by the Aberdeen Wings and 10th overall in the 2017 NAHL Entry Draft. He took part in the 2019 NAHL Top Prospects Tournament just a few weeks ago where he had one goal in two games played.
The Miami University RedHawks (OH) are located in Oxford, OH. They play in the National Collegiate Hockey Conference (NCHC). This season, they have an overall record of 11-19-4, going 5-15-2 in conference play. Former Wings defenseman Taylor Richart (2010-2011) also attended Miami University.
