WATERTOWN, S.D.(KXLG)- A winter storm that has seemingly taken up residence in the area is bringing heavier snow and higher winds today.
The storm began late Monday with freezing rain before switching to light snow Tuesday and Wednesday. Today, heavier snow and wind are combining to make driving conditions difficult.
National Weather Service meteorologist Kari Fleegel said those condition will linger throughout the day.
She said another three inches of snow is possible, on top of what has already fallen.
The snow and wind are expected to end sometime late Friday afternoon, but things won’t improve too much. Temperatures are expected to plunge.
