ABERDEEN, S.D. (HubCityRadio.com) – The Winter Weather Outlook has been released by the National Weather Service and it calls for above normal precipitation this year.
The outlook is more of a broad look and does not include specific information, according to Kelly Serr, Warning Coordination Meteorologist with NWS in Aberdeen.
Aberdeen is already more than seven inches above normal for precipitation on the year, so above average snowfall could lead to a major problem.
Serr said it is hard to get an exact handle on the forecast, because this year’s outlook does not include an El Nino or a La Nina.
