YANKTON, S.D.(WNAX)- All that snow that fell and is now slowly melting is moving much of the region out of the worst drought categories.
South Dakota State Climatologist Laura Edwards says most of the state got needed precipitation.
Edwards says a lot of that moisture is getting into the ground.
Edwards says they have seen a noticeable change in drought coverage.
Edwards says the outlook for March is below normal temperatures, with normal to above normal precipitation.
