Aberdeen, SD (NSUWolves.com) – The NSU volleyball team got back in the win column after a 3-0 sweep over Augustana on Saturday. A competitive match went the Wolves’ way by a handful of points in each set.

HOW IT HAPPENED
- The Wolves beat the Beavers with a cool 3-0 sweep; the set scores were 25-14, 25-6, and 25-12
- Northern State hit .270 as a team, recording 45 kills, 43 assists, 54 digs, and six service aces; they forced 15 Viking kills and held them to a .229 hitting percentage
- NSU used two 4-0 runs in the opening set to take and maintain the advantage; a 3-0 run with kills by Linnea Nesheim, Morissen Samuels, and Victoria Persha closed the set
- The Wolves used a 5-1 run late in the second set to turn a 20-20 tie into a 25-21 victory
- The two teams battled through 15 ties and seven lead changes in the third set before the Wolves closed out the match, 27-25
- Nesheim paced NSU with 17 kills on .302 hitting, adding seven digs, one ace and 18.0 points
- Katelyn Schroeder tallied 13 kills and a team-high 20 digs, finishing with 13.5 points
- Ava Nilsson directed the Northern State offense with 39 assists while adding three service aces, six digs, and a block assist
- Samuels contributed seven kills on a team-best .455 attack percentage; Persha added six kills, one ace, and a block assist while hitting .333.
- Ashley Yost added 12 digs and a service ace, while Sara Moberg contributed seven digs
