Wolves Compete @ USD Tune-Up

Vermillion, SD (NSUWolves.com) – Northern State University track and field teams finished their regular season at the USD Tune-Up meet. One provisional mark was hit, and multiple personal records were broken.

MEN’S HIGHLIGHTS

  • Chris Weber was the first to the finish line in the 100m dash with a record running time of 10.43 seconds
  • Noah Bayer placed fourth in the same race in a time of 10.61
  • Joel Matehs took fifth in the 110m hurdles clocking 14.68
  • Carter Dingman finished tenth with a time of 51.75 in the 400m
  • Nick Olson placed third in the hammer throw with a mark of 54.05m
  • Vance Borchers and Birnir Vagn Finnsson took sixth and seventh in the high jump with marks of 1.85m
  • Sam Garner and Jackson Willis placed fifth and ninth in the javelin throw with marks of 39.01m and 30.18m
  • In pole vault Eli RadtkeIsaac Ligon, and Noah Ford placed fifth, eighth, and ninth with heights of 4.61m, 4.46m, and 4.26m
  • Ethan Barnett took tenth in shot put with a mark of 13.91m
  • Max Vande Kieft placed seventh in triple jump with a distance of 12.56m
  • The men’s 4 x 100 took second place with a season best of 41.92 with athletes Noah BayerChris WeberJoel Matehs, and Drew Salfrank

WOMEN’S HIGHLIGHTS

  • Renea Taylor and Morgan Sheldon placed fourth and eighth in the 100m hurdles with times of 14.78 and 15.28
  • Kyanna Collymore placed eighth in the 200m dash in 25.30
  • Alli Jackson and Vanessa Christensen took fifth and eighth in the 400m with times of 1:00.08 and 1:01.41
  • In the 400m hurdles Elisabet Osk Jonsdottir and Emma Hunt placed fifth and sixth in 1:07.38 and 1:09.76
  • Summer Carlson was the runner up in the 800m with a time of 2:17.30
  • Jolie Dugan took ninth in the 1500m in 5:01.89
  • Addison Stadem placed third with a time of 21:00.33 in the 5,000m distance race
  • Cassidy Gough took seventh in the hammer throw with a distance of 51.22m
  • Jordan West finished tenth in the javelin throw with a mark of 32.00m
  • Tayla Dobrenski took eighth in the long jump with a mark of 5.10m
  • Bekah Walz placed ninth in pole vault with a height of 3.63m
  • Danielle Hawley took tenth in shot put with a mark of 12.12m
  • Sierra Sweeney placed sixth in triple jump with a distance of 10.96m
  • The women’s 4 x 100 relay took third in a time of 48.56 with athletes Elisabet Osk Jonsdottir, Renea Taylor, Vanessa Christensen, and Kyanna Collymore

BEYOND THE RESULTS

  • Chris Weber hit the provisional mark in the 100m and broke the school record previously held by Micah Arnold since 2004; he is now ranked second in the conference and 17th in the nation
