ABERDEEN, SD (NSUWolves.com) – The Northern State University baseball team fell to St Cloud State, 5-3 in NSIC action. The long ball played a huge role in the day as there were three homeruns in the contest. Jonah Schmidt recorded three RBIs on the day along with a two run homerun.

HOW IT HAPPENED GAME 1
- St. Cloud State kicked off the game in the top of the first with a solo homerun to take the lead
- Northern State responded back as Jonah Schmidt drove on over the right field fence that scored Jack Weidner to put them ahead in the bottom of the second
- After three scoreless innings the Huskies took the lead in top of the fifth with a two run homerun
- SCSU extended their lead by one run in the top of the sixth to lead by two runs
- In the bottom of the sixth inning, Schmidt flied out to center field that scored Karson Hesser to trail by one
