Aberdeen, SD (NSUWolves.com) – The Northern State University swimming and diving team fell short, 140-73 against the University of Mary. The Wolves recorded 12 top three finishes on the day with two first place finishes.
WOLVES HIGHLIGHTS
- Jacie Flockhart started the day off for Northern State with a first place finish in the 1 meter dive with a score of 225.30
- In the 200 medley relay a team of Eydie Bruestle, Marie Loest, Jocelyn Dirksen, and Brianna Back took third place with a time of 1:58.33
- Abbegael Nynas followed up with a second place finish hitting the wall at 11:33.03 in the 1000 free
- In the 200 free, Emma Moore took the top spot with a time of 2:02.36 with Laila Gordillo in second with a time of 2:02.75
- Haley Osborne recorded a time of 2:16.84 in the 200 IM to take second place
- With a time of 1:05.93, Moore took third place in the 100 fly with Dirksen in fourth place with a time of 1:07.21
- Osborne and Bruestle followed up with back-to-back second place finishes in the 100 free and 100 back hitting the walls at 54.66 and 1:03.76 respectively
- Nynas kept it rolling for the Wolves with a third place finish in the 500 free with a time of 5:40.29 along with Back in third place in the 100 breast with a time of 1:15.18
- The Wolves closed out the day with a second place finish in the 200 free relay hitting the wall at 1:45.56; relay members include Mazie Finch, Mia Fursedonne, Bruestle, and Osborne
