ABERDEEN, SD (NSUWolves.com) – The 2023-24 Academic All-District® Softball teams, selected by College Sports Communicators (CSC), were released this week. CSC recognizes the nation’s top student-athletes for their combined performances on the diamond and in the classroom. Northern State University senior Lexi Chase was honored on the Division II All-District squad.
Chase appeared in 48 games, making 46 starts this spring. She hit .358 with 43 hits, eight doubles, three triples, one homerun, 20 RBI, 22 runs scored, and five stolen bases. In the circle, the senior recorded 22 appearances and 20 starts, posting a 10-10 record with 15 complete games. She threw 134.0 innings with 114 strikeouts, a 3.13 ERA, and .253 opponent batting average. She was honored on the NSIC All-Conference second team.
The Division II and III CSC Academic All-America® programs are partially financially supported by the NCAA Division II and III national governance structures to assist CSC with handling the awards fulfillment aspects for the 2023-24 Divisions II and III Academic All-America® programs. The NAIA CSC Academic All-America® program is partially financially supported through the NAIA governance structure.
