Wolves Shutout By Beavers In Tucson

Tucson, AZ (NSUWolves.com) – An early deficit kept the win out of reach for the Northern State University Baseball team, falling 11-0 against Minot State. The Wolves recorded three hits on the day compared to the Beavers’ 12 hits. MISU took the lead early in the game with nine runs in the first three innings.

  • Minot State kicked off the game with four runs in the top of the first
  • MISU added to their lead with six more runs to lead by eight in the second
  • The Beavers extended their lead with one more run in the top of the third
  • In the bottom of the third, Dillon Castellanos drove the ball to center field for a double but was stranded on second
  • After two scoreless innings, Minot State extended their lead to 10-0
  • AJ Mendez found a hole in left field for a single and advanced to second on the next play but was ultimately stranded on base
  • The Beavers added their final run in the top of the seventh to lead by 11
  • NSU recorded no runs with three hits on the day, while MISU recorded 11 runs off of 12 hits
  • Owen Douglas recorded the loss in 2.0 innings pitched
