Aberdeen, SD (NSUWolves.com) – The Northern State University swim team came out on top against Jamestown, 121-117 Wednesday evening. The Wolves tallied six first place finishes on the night along with seven second place finishes.

WOLVES HIGHLIGHTS

  • In the one-meter dive, Jacie Flockhart took the gold with a score of 171.37
  • A team of Mia Fursedonne, Mari Loest, Emma Moore, and Annalise Olsson finished in second in the 200-medley relay hitting the wall at 1:59.11
  • Abbegael Nynas notched a time of 11:23.69 for a first-place finish in the 1000 free
  • Haley Osborne kept it rolling in the 200 free finishing in first with a time of 1:57.62
  • In the 50 free, Fursedonne and Laila Gordillo finished second and third hitting the wall at 26.05 and 26.44 respectively
  • Jocelyn Dirksen and Brianna Back notched a time of 2:22.24 and 2:22.79 in the 200 IM, for a second and third place finish
  • Moore took the silver in the 100-fly hitting the wall at 1:03.00
  • In the 100 free, Gordillo notched a time of 56.06 for a first-place finish
  • Eydie Bruestle took second place in the 100 back with a time of 1:02.97 along with Fursedonne in third place with a time of 1:04.49
  • Osborne and Nynas took the top two spots in the 500 free with times of 5:26.07 and 5:37.57 respectively
  • Flockhart closed out her night in the second 1-meter diving event in first place with a score of 244.50
  • The Wolves closed out the night in the 200 free relay with a second-place finish hitting the wall at 1:43.93; relay members include Finch, Olsson, Nynas, and Osborne

Northern Stateswimming hits the road to take on MSU Moorhead. The dual is scheduled for Friday, October 18 with the time still to be determined.

Burnsville, MN (NSUWolves.com) – Northern State University sophomore Jacie Flockhart earned the first NSIC Diver of the Week honors of the season, as released by the league today. The league honor is the first of her career with the Wolves.

NSIC Women’s Diver of the Week – Jacie Flockhart (1M, Dive, So., Boone, Iowa / Boone HS)
– Recorded a score of 228.07 in the 1-meter dive in the dual meet against SMSU and UMary
– Currently ranked fourth in the nation in the one-meter dive
– In the NSU Relay Meet on Friday, notched a score of 78.57 in the1-meter diving event
