HOW IT HAPPENED
- The Wolves had a relatively busy first half shot-wise, chalking up nine of their 11 shots inside the first 45 minutes of action
- Though Jamestown’s Taylor Musser was busy collecting saves (four on the night), the Wolves finally got a shot to push the net outside of the final minute of play
- After a clearance kick from Jamestown, defender Ella Blake quickly put the Wolves back on offense and sent a beautiful pass to an open Peters, who tallied her first goal of the season in the match
- Chloe Voss, Lauren Carpenter, Anaka Ott, Sarah Helderop, Lauren Youngquist and Hofer would all record shots in the half, but only Peters earned the Wolves a point
- The final 45 was more neutral, as both sides recorded just two shots
- After an Ella Ready yellow card, which halted a momentum swing for the Jimmies, Vega Canada put up Jamestown’s sole shot on goal in the game, which was promptly brought in by Audrey Burns at the net
- The Wolves would tag on yet another goal inside the final 10 minutes of play after Youngquist sent a pass over most of the Jimmie defenders to find Hofer for a header to seal the victory
- Both Voss and Hofer tallied two shots and two shots on goal in the battle, while six other teammates recorded one apiece
- For the Jimmies, Canada led the way with two shots and one shot on goal, while Marisa Brown recorded the last of three Jamestown shots on the night
Jaylee Hofer: 1 goal, 2 shots, 2 shots on goal
Deshani Peters: 1 goal, 1 shot, 1 shot on goal
Lauren Youngquist: 1 assist, 1 shot
