Wolves Swimming Takes On Day Two in SF

Sioux Falls, SD (NSUWolves.com) – The Northern State University swim team concluded their second day of the NSIC Championships with three Wolves finishing in the top 15 in the individual events. The Wolves moved up in the rankings to seventh place with 148 total points. Lilly Grebner collected another NCAA ‘B’ cut time in the 400 IM.

WOLVES HIGHLIGHTS

  • Alexia Hoven kicked off the finals with a 13th place finish in the 100 fly with a time of 58.12
  • Lilly Grebner grabbed her second NSIC championship in the 400 IM hitting the wall at 4:27.10; Grebner’s time qualified under the NCAA ‘B” cut standard
  • In the 200 free, Haley Osborne took eighth place recording a time of 2:00.15
  • The Wolves rounded off the night with a sixth place 400 medley relay by NSU team ‘A’ with a time of 3:57.15; relay members included Maddie Gonzales, Grebner, Hoven, and Osborne
  • Northern State ‘B’ team of Mia Fursedonne, Hilary Sonnabend, Georgy Turner, and Annalise Olsson finished in 16th place in the 400 medley hitting the wall at 4:11.05

 

UP NEXT

The Northern State swim teamis back at the pool tomorrow, Friday, February 16th for day three of the NSIC Championships. The competition is scheduled to begin at 10 a.m. from Sioux Falls at the Midco Aquatic Center.
