YANKTON, S.D.(WNAX)- Besides the visible construction on the crest road crossing Gavins Point Dam, there will be more work in and around the dam itself.

Gavins Point Operations Manager Tom Curran says they have an ongoing project on the spillway gates.

Curran says they have work planned on several other sets of gates.

Curran says they also have to make repairs to the bridge that connects to the power house.

Curran says they also continue to contend with zebra mussels moving into their internal water system.
