PIERRE, S.D.(WNAX)- The South Dakota legislature will have a raft of bills and proposals dealing with workforce housing.
State Chamber of Commerce and Industry President Dave Owen says most hourly workers have been priced out of the housing market.
Owen says the Governor’s three hundred million dollar plan would be a three way partnership.
The Governor has also proposed another one hundred million dollars to enhance childcare options. Owen says that could go in several directions.
Both proposals were contained in the Governors budget plan that she gave to the legislature earlier this month.
