Wyatt Rowland found dead

MILLER, S.D.(KCCR)- Authorities in Hand County say they’ve recovered the body of a missing teenager.  Sheriff Shane Croeni South Dakota Division of Criminal Investigation phone techs were able to locate where 17 year-old Wyatt Rowland may have been.

The Miller Press carried a press conference with Croeni Tuesday afternoon.  Earlier that morning dive teams from Lake and Beadle Counties helped to recover the Dodge Dakota pick-up Rowland was last seen driving.  Rowland was not in the pick-up but divers located Rowland around one-pm Tuesday afternoon.  Croeni says the support received during the search effort was overwhelming.

Rowland was last seen Saturday night around 12:30 am and cell phone information placed him in the area near the Lake Louise Recreation Area.  The South Dakota Civil Air Patrol was also used to conduct air searches of the area northwest of Miller.
