YANKTON, S.D.(WNAX)- The Yankton City Commission approved the sale of about six acres of land from the Mead addition for possible retail development.

Community Development Director Dave Mingo updated the commission Monday night on the applications for the land.

Mingo says it will be a phased development over the next few years.

Mingo says it’s a locally based partnership.

The land was sold for fifty thousand dollars and acre.
