YANKTON, S.D. (WNAX) – The Yankton County Commission is waiting for advice from the state on how to conduct their meetings in the future. Many government bodies are going to phone or online meetings due to the social distancing guidelines.
Commission Chair Cheri Loest says they have asked the Governor’s office for clarification.
Loest says they want to make sure the public can take part.
State law allows online or remote meetings, but there must be some type of public input or access.
